About the Guru




B.Tech, MFA (Bharatanatyam)
Smt. Amrita embarked on her Bharatanatyam journey at the tender age of 6, under the expert guidance of Smt. Radhika Kalyani Rajasenan, a direct disciple of Kalaimamani Smt. K.J. Sarasa and Padmashri Smt. Chitra Vishveshwaran, renowned gurus in the Vazhvoor style of Bharatanatyam.

At the age of 9, Amrita showcased her talent in numerous Bharatanatyam performances on Podhigai TV. Initially trained in Carnatic music by her mother, Smt. Radhavittal, she advanced her skills under the mentorship of Smt. Lata Ramchand, a distinguished Carnatic Vocalist. With a natural flair for choreography, she actively participated in various productions and and performed across Chennai's cultural centres.
She is also the recipient of the esteemed Yuva Shree Kala Bharathi award, by the government.

She has also attained a first-class distinction in her Master of Fine Arts from SASTRA University, under the tutelage of Dr. Padma Subhramaniyam.
Currently, she continues her journey by training in advanced Karanas and their application to dance, blending tradition with innovation in her approach to choreography and teaching.

Her passion extends beyond; she has dedicated herself to nurturing young talents through her dance school, "Shri Radhe Krishna School of Bharatanatyam," located in Saligramam. There, she molds enthusiastic individuals into proficient dancers, shaping the future of Bharatanatyam with her expertise and dedication.
